96 civic with 91 crx hf stock engine -- mixing alternator to ecu wires
what would happen if i mixed the two wires that lead to the ecu: white/yellow and blue?
at the moment it seems my car will only charge for a few mins on a cold start then stop, even when i rev it over 2k rpm my volts never goes above 14.3
my car:
91 honda crx hf stock engine with 96 civic obd2 ohio 170amp high output alternator installed.

it'll drops down to 12v and my battery light will come on and i'll rev it up a bit but the battery will go up to mid 13v sometimes 13v.

You probably fried the voltage regulator inside the alternator. Have the alternator tested. It's probably bad.

if the regular of the alternator was fried the alternator should of fail those test they run at auto shops.
i will try the one wire alternator method and see if it output 14+volt charge.
could i have fried my ecu?

even when i turn the ac on my volt will stay the same at around 12.3v even though my eld volt goes from 3.2 to 1.7v (reading done on red/green wire at eld and a ground).
wish i didn't throw my old alternator away
