96-98 trans on a 95 SI motor

Just want to make sure this will work. I have a 96-98 EX trans that I want to mate up with my z6.

Yup, '92-'00 D-series transmissions are compatible with '92-'00 D-series engines. Even '88-'91 transmissions will bolt up, but those are cable transmissions.

Thanks. WIll the shift linkage from a 96-00 work on a 92-95 hatch? Someone told me they will not work properly

DENI, you got to use the linkage from the eg si linkage. and yes they will bolt up.
