Default 96-98 Front end on a 99-00

I am about to come in possession of a 99 Honda Civic LX. It has been hit in the front end and needs the front bumper, grille, hood, and passenger fender replaced (thanks ditch!). It needs some suspension parts but I'm sourcing them from the same parts car as my question pertains. I have access to a 96 Civic EX 2 Door.

I know you can put the 99-00 front panels on a 96 Bodystyle, is the reverse true? So put the 96 Civic parts onto the 99 Civic I want to drive? I know I'll need the fenders, hood, grille, headlights, and front bumper. I've searched but only find people putting the 99-00 on the 96-98, not the reverse like I want to do. And before anyone asks why, I have access to the 96 and any parts I want to repair the 99 with from it for next to nothing, so cheaper to do that than replace and paint a hood, bumper, grille, and a fender that I get on ebay or something. Thanks in advance!

you need to swap the raditor core support over, which involves some welding, but minor.

No you do not. All you need is what you stated. The bumper, fenders, headlights, grill and hood. Everything will bolt up, wether it's a 96-98 to a 99-00 conversion, or a 99-00 to a 96-98 conversion. You don't need to swap the radiator support.

+1 no idea who would swap radiator supports when they're most likely exactly the same thing...

You'll have to get creative with the front bumper mounts.

the 99-00 is thinner, so obviously there will be a issue there.
