Default 96-98 Civic Exhaust Fitment on Different Models
What sort of welding work is needed to fit a exhaust off a hatchback to a coupe?

Not even worth it?

The exhaust is too short IIRC. It's mainly in the muffler section, though the header/cat area can differ depending on engine.
