The OEM bulbs cost about $4.50/ea ... Since mine are blown I would need to buy a total of 4 bulbs (two 96-98 and two 99-00). With tax and everything that's close to about $20 for bulbs, to me that's just absurd.

Plus, not to mention that I would have to very carefully remove the Amber Covers off the 99-00 to place on the 96-98 bulbs, risking tearing the covers because they are very thin and fragile. If they break then I have to get another one.

So I took bulbs out of a spare CX Cluster I had and they will do for now. It's not amber, but maybe I'll pick up some paint for the bulbs at a hobby shop and paint 'em. That is if no one comes up with a definite answer as to which bulb size these are.

Like I mentioned before, the bulbs say TSD 74, so does that mean that #74 bulbs fit? Any input on that?

I'll try to have a answer for you tonight, I am going to try and get off my *** and go tear into my car and figure out what bulb it is.

I need to figure out myself, so I can buy new ones. lol

I thought that is what it was too. lol I still do remember having to wiggle a flat head screw driver in the spot for the bulb a little. The bulb was just a tiny bit to big.

Did you take that pic from underneath the dash with the unit still installed?

Also is that the bulb with a wire attached to it? Where does it plug in?

It still had that selecter wire attacted to it, but thats the only thing holding in it the car. Everything else was removed. I just fliped it up, and pulled the bulb out.

The bulb has a 2 small wires attached to a plug, where the bulb slips into. Were the wire goes, I have no clue.

I ordered Amber cause that's what I want for my interior.

Yes, the covers cost only $0.29 each ... I purchased about 10 covers and the total was about $6 and some change including the shipping.

I just happened to stumble apone those. I was looking for led's, and those happened to be there.

I am deffinetly interested to see pic's/how they fit.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, but here you go ...

When I got 'em in the mail I thought they were too small (I bought 5mm ones), but they are the perfect size. They fit to cover the exact amount needed once the bulb is on the socket.

I just installed them and it's daytime, we'll see how they look at night once it gets darker outside. I hope the color output is more orange, than yellow (seeing as the covers are yellowish). We'll see.

I hope so to. I kind of what to do amber, and would rather buy OEM bulbs with those covers.

The ones I have aren't nearly as bright as OEM.

Just went outside to check 'em out ... They're amber, pretty much the same color as my JDM EK4 Dash Clock. Again, crappy cell pic ...



I'm thinking if you want something more amber, maybe you would have to go with red. However, I'm pleased with it.

My reds faded to amber, but I don't think the covers will fade.

I never removed the Climate Control. I only removed the Cigarette Lighter Accessory Panel and got to the bulbs using pliers. It was uncomfortable, but not impossible to do.

My bulbs went out in my 97. Are there really 2 bulbs? I called Honda, they said 2, but every site I look at shows 1 bulb?
