I recently bought an 94 del sol si and have done all the major tunups on it. While my mechanic was at it he took at look at the suspensions and he told me that i should replace the shocks and springs soon because they are leaking and rusty. My question is would a set of oem used shocks and springs from the civic years of 96-00 fit on the sol??

They will fit, but you MUST modify the rear lower control arms where the rear shock fork slides over the rear lower control arm bushing area.

The 96-00 Civic shocks are more narrow than the 92-95 ones, so you must grind/shave off material from the rear LCA bushings where the rear shock slides over it.

Also the 96-00 Civic front shocks have no provisions for the brake hoses like the 92-95 Civics do, so you must find a way to mount the front brake hoses.

Just think the guys above me were setting you up for a really frustrating afternoon once you realized the shiit DOESN"T fit without modifying it.

Stuff like that REALLY needs to be included when you tell someone "it fits." From your casual replies it appears the stuff just bolts on without any issues, but that's not true.

Are there still people around here that actually know what they're talking about, or does one guy guess at it then others follow suit with "what he said" replies?
