No that's the diagram for the switch with the relay on the side

Using the voltmeter, apply the ground lead to the ground wire(s) (they'll be black). Set the voltmeter to continuity/resistance, and apply the positive probe to another wire. Pick a wire, any wire, but go in an organized pattern. With the probes in place and no buttons pressed, you should have zero continuity/infinite resistance. Start pressing buttons, one by one, to see i you get continuity through that wire with any specific button pressed.
