96-00 EJ6 exhaust question
When i buy a fullcat-back for my EJ6, it will bolt up. But, the cat for my car is under the hood. so when i swap the motor, will the exhaust still bolt up with if i put a cat there ? or will i need to get the exhaust cut or something? i was curious about this for a while. i was thinking maybe because the cat was under the hood, the exhaust mani goes a longer distance before hitting the exhaust piping, as opposed to say a d16y8, or a b series swap.?

Re: 96-00 EJ6 exhaust question (JUN EK9)
if you have an ex coupe, the exhaust will bolt up witha b16 no prob. i went from ex exhaust connected to ex motor, then to ex exhaust connected to si motor (b16a2), then si exhaust to si motor. what i mean is, any exhaust for ex/si will be fine.
if you have a dx/cx/hx etc, i'd wait to buy exhaust until after you have motor.

If you have a D16Y7{ie DX} (which im guessing you do) you will have to buy an exhaust made to fit that engine. I would suggest going ahead and getting an exhaust for the EX/SI and then just putting the factory exhaust manifold (header) from an EX on your car. That way if you ever swap your engines you can keep you exhaust. Rick
