Default 95 GSR engine into 97 civic EVAP purge solenoid question

Hey guys,

I'd like to know what you guys recommend I do for this swap. I have a 95 GSR engine that is filly rebuilt with a Skunk2 Pro Series intake manifold. I have removed the D16y7 from my 97 DX civic and plan to reuse the harness.

I know what I need to do for the IACV and VTEC, I will be running a chipped P28 with a jumper harness and also am running an OBD1 dizzy with an OBD2a to OBD1 dizzy jumper plug.

All I am wondering about is the EVAP Purge solenoid, I have the one from the OBD2a y7 and the one from the obd1 GSR, my harness, of course, only has the OBD2a plug which is different than the OBD1 one. Should I just cut that plug off and use a plug from another spare OBD1 IAT sensor to make that work or should I use the D16Y7 EVAP with this motor and P28?
