Default 95 ex civic d15b problems

ok, i searched for about 2 hrs, nothing. this car used to be my homeboy's, mom liked it and we got it for her. de riced it and everything back to stock, my friends d16z6 messed up on him so he got this one from asap motors. they told him it was for his yr and model. when it got here i was like no dude, thats a d15b. i did research and found out it was the same ****. cool, he installed it. its been good, havnt given us any problems but i have noticed that it wasted gas like crazy. when u fire it up, the idle surges once. up to 2k down to 1k, back up to 1.5k. its fine after that. i checked codes, it throws a 10. intake air temp sensor. checked it, its fine. this is the thing though, the purge control solenoid is just hanging there. it has nowhere to be mounted. i compared it to my 93 si motor and the si motor has the mounting positions. what can be causing my problem, how can i fix that purge control valve? why am i getting a code 10 if the sensor is fine. this is a auto car with stock ecu. check engine light is always on also. help will greatly be appreciated. thanks
julio

NOT an expert... BUT the D15b is the JDM engine and the D16z6 is the USDM... maybe the ECU needs to be reprogramed... maybe you dont need the pruge valve..? Anyone else know more..? im not sure if im totaly right.

you need to run a p.08 ecu to help save on gas and assuming you still have the p.28.

reason you wastin so much gas is..
-1 cel light.. runnin rich..
-2 get the ecu for that engine..

what i would do.. if you still got a warrenty bring it back.. or have that dude who put it on himself.. to check it.. thats a half job.. he was supposed to check to see if tha engine was good, up and running, with no probs.. feel me?

or if anything.. instead of doing all that.. switch yo manifolds up.. use tha one you had b4.. so everything that you had on b4.. will be there.. and not hanging..
im guessin that yo old engine didnt have a cel light on..

and tha purge valve.. can be drilled on to tha side of tha manifold.. but if its faulty.. you betta off gettin one in a junk yard..
