So I've read about the dreaded "rear LCA bolt" that is welded, but are the bolts in front welded too?

What bolt is welded where? You mean the head is welded to the thread, instead of cast?

No, I mean the head of the bolt is welded to the LCA.

Umm no front or rear rear lca bolts are welded as far as I know.

All posts about people who broke their rear LCA bolt. So if anyone knows whether the front LCA bolts are welded too, please post.

yea break b/c they get rusty and shitty and there is sometiems alot of stress on them

The bolts are not welded at all. The head breaks from the rest of the bolt because they are rusted to **** and never touched for ages.

Fine, nut is welded and breaks bolt. Does anyone know if the fronts are the same?

No, front's aren't welded to the forks.

Nice. Thank you. I just got my H&R Race/ Koni Yellows setup, and I'm ready to put them in. I was gonna lower my car a year ago, but stopped because I broke the rear LCA bolt. So I fixed that with GSR LCAs and left my suspension alone.

just buy new...or "new" lcas when your gona replace your rear suspension...then just unbolt the shock from the body, then unbolt the lca from the subframe and the spindle....'tis what i did since the lower shock bolt didnt want to come off.

Just soak the bolt with some sort of penetrating oil (liquid wrench), I've always used PB Blaster, and let it sit for a while before you try loosening the bolts.

the problem with me was that it was rusted into the metal sleeve, no amount of penetrating oil would have saved it.

I already fixed the rear suspension, I was just making sure that I wouldn't run into the same problem when I tried to do the front.
