Default 95 DX Gas Light?

Hey everyone,
I recently bought a 1995 Civic DX, and I was wondering if it even has a gas light? My gas gauge is pointing to E, but I still haven't seen a gas light come on. The only reason I'm asking this is because I need to go pick up my paycheck, which is about 20 miles away, and I don't know if I'm going to have enough gas to get there. If there is a gas light and it hasn't come on yet, then I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it. So does anyone know if this car even has a gas light? Almost every car I've seen has a gas light...but then again, every car I've seen has a tachometer too..hahaha. Thanks for any help guys.

92-95 Civic gauges (cluster) did not come with gas lights, but the gauge fluctuates like crazy so good luck on your journey

Just fill it completely full (top-off) next time the gauge hits E, and be sure to zero out the trip metter. At your next fill-up (top off again), calculate your gas mileage (trip-reading / fill-up-gallons). Before you leave, zero the trip again. Do this a couple times. Then you can look up exactly how big your fuel tank is and calculate your max range (fuel-tank-size x average-MPG). Then make sure to NEVER drive that far without filling up...

Thats how you do it...

I really don't use the gas gauge, I fill up according to my trip meter

There are two different sized fuel tanks for this generation of Civic, 38L (10.04gal) and 45L (11.89gal). You may want to double check which version you have first. I think the Si is the only hatchback with the larger tank...

I'm usually at about 2 gallons the second i hit e. and 1 gallon if I continue to drive for a while but I dont. Its not fun being stranded.

Go to your change jar and fill up.
I roll all my coins and leave it in the ashtray for gas emergencies because the bank is way too far and sometimes i need to get to work or whatnot on time and don't want to pay the $0.75 atm surchange at my local arco.
