Someone can tell me im dumb for saying this, but from what i have been told you can only make 250whp safely on a stock Dseries bottom end and im thinking that 250whp isnt enough to push a EG into the 11's.

It is true that you can really only plus a stock d to about 250whp, maybe 300whp but you will be pushing it. But 250 should be able to get a eg to the high 11's low 12 with the right gearing, tires, and an lsd. I have not done it but it is what i have hear and or seen.

That is correct ProjectEJ1, you have K series running mid 13s to low 14's with i/h/e. Thats about 240hp and some 150ftlbs of torque ish. Now the only way youre getting 250whp on a stock bottom end is with properly tuned ecu for turbo. Very little torque and a lot of lag so i say that runs 14ish-15.5s depending on skill.

Yeah, you'd need a sick eg with hella weight removal to get it into the 11's with stock internals.

It'd be easier just to build the d, and apply more boost. More PSSHSHHHHH

Yea but i mean,if youre going to spend all that money on slicks and lsd for a D series (which as far I know there are only 2 aftermarket lsds) then you might as well fix up your bottom end.

if your ring lands and rods can handle the power i dont see why not, just build it most people here run close to 400 horse on stock sleeves and forged pistons

yea a stock k series is nowhere near 240 horse, its 200 for a type-s rsx/integra and 220 for an integra type-r but the type-r is a costly swap making the already expensive k series swap even more expensive

someone made 20 horse just on bolt ons thats true but if you're cutting costs ie tsx header, instead of the new dc, stock intake that people do to get the swap in the 5-8 grand area you're not making 240horse btw 240 crank horse doesnt equal wheel horse,

220 average on a turbo d stock internal psi varies with turbo depending on whyat powerband and compressor maps you run

are to the wheels

so bench racing but the k series weighs more, the d series is light, when i build my d16z6 motors i pick them up by myself and place them on the workbench to mount to the engine stand

LoL

I'm not sure which is funnier, idiot A telling him it can go up to 300, or idiot B confirming it.

Don't trust a D series stock bottom end to 300 - it won't end well.

If it's on a dyno tune I wouldn't trust it past 200 - that's if it's healthy.

You wanna go for 300 on stock ints drop the D and get something else. Trying to make an 11 second hatch w/ a stock D bottom end is stupid - your best bet is weight reduction - but it's just not a good plan - at all.

It's gonna end ONE way - and it won't be by u running 11 seconds .

now looks at your experiences in building d turbo's the sleeves are fine there are not FRP sleeves that are flawed, ill let you guess which engine is notorious for that

these are ductile iron and are gravity cast, pretty damn decent to 400 whp, unless its weakend,

im sure you know that the ring lands and rods are the weak tpoint in any d seires right? 3rd comes the pistons. what id do is go out and buy some eagle rods, and some forged pistons, sandblast the mirror finish off of it (good for 8whp gain on a turbo motor) open up some oil galleries, use the stock honda bearings (nascar sbc's even use this ****) open up the oil pump gallery a little, dremmel away all sharp edges in rotation assembly especally the crank girdle good for a few MORE horses, gasket match the head, fit RDX injectors to a custom manifold and run a bored b18 throttle body

thats a little bit of horsepower right there

thats a proven setup ive used it in 5 diffrent motors

I have seen a 275 whp d with just pistons, cams and turbo'd with a 100 shot nos he is in what 350-375whp so dont be a dick and think you know everything about d series they are better then you think. And k series are running 12's on street tires so think about this drag tires and anyother 50whp or more you can run 11's

I wasn't saying anything to you big-cat i was talking to Syndacate, the tq numbers off a turbo'd d are good to in the 250 zone i would like to see a k swap be there with out a turbo or super.

I didnt say it holds up for 300. It holds up to 250hp but i wouldnt go more than 210 without replacing them.

ok well i havent read much i read like the first hum 6 posts and well if you build the head and use some arp head and rod bolts the engine should safely run 300 hp with the stock bottom end other than the arp rod bolts all you need is a good tune the right setup and that should give you a high 11 sec et right there if not close to it low *** 12's just need the right setup and tune

I happen to work at a ******* garage you moron. Stock rods and pistons will hold up near 250whp but I wouldnt risk it.

At least i dont spend my time painting toy cars

Theres no reason for you to be talking smack, especially if you only do it online and not on real life, leave me alone you homo.
