Default 95 Del Sol is suppose to have a 1.6L vtec motor, Is this the right head?

I just bought a 95 delsol, Car is not running. The VIN says this motor is suppose to be a 1.6L vtec. Is this the right head ?

The 2 unconnected wires to not have a vtec solenoid to attach.

Where is the block stamped? is there an easy way to find out what ECU is installed? I got the car not running so I do not know what has been swapped and what has not.

You just have a 1.6 with no vtec solenoid = a non vtec head.

The block is stamped right where the block meets the tranny. Just look up the block till you see it. If it's the original block, it should say D16Z6

Ok thanks, Also in the second picture all 3 distributor bolts do not line up, Only the top one. Is this normal or the wrong distributor for the current head?

I see the two bolts in the picture lining up just fine.

Edit: Scatch that. I was looking at the cap. Pretty sure someone did a head swap on yours and only a head swap, not even the conjoining dizzy or ECU to go with it. No CEL though?

If you remove the kick panel on the passenger side, you will reveal your ECU to the world. The type should be stamped on it. A CEL is a check engine light. You have one on?

All this will probably explain why it doesn't run. Someone had no clue what they were doing on this swap.

This Looks to be a correct D15B7 Motor and head, Am I looking at the wrong distributor bolted on the motor?

Thanks for the help!

You should not have a D15B7 bro. Someone probably messed up your swap.
