Default 95 del sol si/d15b swap with temp gauge needle at halfway point - Is it overheating?

I have a 95 del sol si with a d16z6. I got a rod knock in that and swapped in a d15b. I used my p28 ecu, wire harness, and intake. well before the temperature gauge read about a quarter of the way up. now when it warms up it'll sit about halfway. I replaced the thermostat and fully bled the coolant. the thermostat never kicked on after about 15 minutes of letting it warm up. is the d15 supposed to run that warm? or is something wrong?

When I replaced my rad on my dx (d16y7) the thernostat took forever to open up. When the car is at normal temp the guage is at about half way.

There shouldnt be anything wrong.

The temp needle typically should read below the halfway mark when the engine is fully warmed up. Does the radiator fan run?

is it sitting just under half (normal) or a little above half (not normal) btw, quarter from the bottom isn't really normal either.

Glad to see someone who thought they had an issue doesn't, better than having an issue and thinking you don't!
