95 Del Sol Si Build Thread with History
alright been on this forum for years havnt really posted that much! but I'll give some history of previous builds and how I got to the build I am on now! been a long road but I finally know what I want and how to build it!
My Very First build when body kits were huge and it was all about the Flash!
2002 my very first car 1997 Toyota Corolla DX
I moved on from that in 2004 picked up my first Honda a 93 Del Sol Si with over 300k on it made my frist mistake on this car and tried to do a Front End Conversion! not my brightest move! lol
Move on from that and picked up another Del Sol another 93 Si
nothing really wrong with it kept it for a long time it went through many Trans formations untill it got wrecked in 2010 when a Van Rolled right over the top off it
2005 Day I bought it!
First Transformation
2nd Transformation
no pics of the wrecked car.....
Decided Del Sols maybe weren't my thing moved on to a Ej8 and brought a car back from the dead!
2011 1997 Cvic EX Coupe
Beginning of Project
got bored with it and wanted a Del Sol again what it looked like the day I got rid of it...
And now what you all been waiting for!
in March of 2012 found a 95 Si Del Sol that was very cheap so I jumped on it! and the work has now begun! I wish I started this build thread from the beginning but the build is about half way through now and I'll post what I got and how it sits now!
When I picked it up this is how she sat, d16z6 Turbo'd with a spent clutch blown skunk 2 springs and struts no rims and minor misc other crap!
And as she sits right now!
Swapped B18c from 97 ITR
JDM Front End Conversion (have the Radiator Support thats going in when the body work is done)
Lowered on Function and Form Type 1's
F&F LCA's
ASR Subframe Brace and Rear Sway Bar
14x7" Hayashi Racing RIms no they are not bottle caps this is way before bottle caps came out there at least 20 Years old. they are amazing Rims and Amazingly Light! approx. 11.5 lbs per rim. Wrapped in Dunlap Direzza Star Spec tires
Mugen 4-1 Header
Tanabe Concept G Cat back Exhaust
that's about it so far! I'll post tons of pics of stuff already done and as I got them in! but here's as she sits right now!
so there's that and I'll keep updating with other pics of what order I did things anb all the fun stuff in-between! hope you enjoy my build!

Re: 95 Del Sol Si Build Thread with History
so since all that was done there hasn't been much progress on the Sol. Its up for winter at the moment. I did pick this up right before winter for an absolutely insane cheap price! so couldn't pass it up!
Carbon Fiber Roof
the big news is I had to get a new winter beater My Audi **** the bed so out with the old
2001 Audi A6 - Goodbye
in with the New
2011 Subaru WRX let the hating begin! lol but it is a awesome winter beater! Especially here in Vermont!
Heres a little teaser pic I took it out of storage for a little bit to let it run and get a Estimate from a friend to do all the body work and paint it!

Re: 95 Del Sol Si Build Thread with History
the Latest as of ***02/01/13*** the Car will be going into the shop for EXTENSIVE Body work!! the car is in pretty rough shape body wise we will strip it and see what shes hiding underneath see if the shell is even worth keeping or scrap it!
Big Upgrades coming with in the next 2 months!
Championship White Paintjob
5 Lug Conversion with ITR 16" 10 spoke rims
and that will be the extent for a little bit!
those will pretty much drain the winter savings! and next winter will be a full Type R Rebuild see how much we can squeeze outta a NA Type R Motor! should be fun but I'm sure I'll have minor things here and there!! so keep up with this thread and enjoy I'll try to keep you all entertained!
