i have a 95 del sol with a d15b y8 intake

starting from a stop in first gear i feel like the car has power surges while under normal acceleration and while i'd say below 2,500 rpms it feels like it hesitates to put down full power given the amount im pressing the pedal.

but if i mash the pedal maybe 60-100% throttle then it doesn't act up any.

it also sometimes feels like the gas pedal is being repeatedly tapped while using the engine to slow the car down once it drops below 2500 rpms. like something is giving it gas to make the whole car surge and buck around on me.


this problem didn't start until i was kind of forced to get premium gas... which i felt like nothing would happen.... but the gas station i was at had nothing but premium and i didn't have enough gas to get any where else (mind you i have a already checked the fuel filter for clogs)
on a cold start... the idle also seems wonky.... it revs to maybe 1400-1500 as usually but randomly drops down to maybe 700-900 while still in its warm up and sits there a few seconds then comes back up to 1400-1500. does this a few times until i rev it once or twice and then smooths out at warm u prpms until it hits temp then drops down to about 700 rpms and stays smooth.
anyone with the same issue or have knowledge of this issue that can help?
