This engine dies when at idle with the ac on. If its not on it works fine but as soon as i hit the button the car drops below standard idle revs up and down a few times then dies. It idles a little high close to 1k with it off so why does it drop that This car is becoming a nightmare, still won't pass emissions although everything has been replaced emission wise. Has a new fuel pump, 02 sensor, cat, coolant temp sensor, ngk plugs and wires, distributor cap, rotor button, battery, fuel filter, air filter, recent oil change. Chipped and tunced p28 that has passed emissions three years before now. Thats all the info i can give you, any ideas? Only cel is a coolent temp sensor i checked the wires and am getting 5 volts to it. Bad ecu?

I have a 93 Del Sol with a 95 D16Z6 auto that had a similar problem.
I adjusted the idle screw on the throttle body and it helped reduce the stalling out.

You need to fix code 6. The signal from the ECT sensor is used by the ECU to determine correct idle speed and fuel trim. Your emissions failure is (and possibly your idle problem) is likely caused by code 6.

What resistance do you measure across the two ECT sensor terminals when the engine is fully warmed up?

lol ron i'll have to get back to you on that, my buddy has my multi tester today. You think thats whats messing it all up?
