Default 95 D16 timing belt and water pump help.

Okay before I get slammed I am searching as we speak but can't seem to find it.
I just put the head back on my motor(95 D16).
What do I line up the crank to and what do I line up the cam gear to in order to put the timing belt on properly?
And how do I get to the water pump to replace it before I do all this??
Any write ups on here????

Thanks in advance.

You line the cam and crank up to TDC. If you're good, you wont move them while changing the belt and pump, so you wont have to mess with them at all.

The pump is pretty simple once you have the timing belt cover and belt off. It's just a couple 10mm bolts.

The only difficult things I can think of about changing the belt are 1. moving PS stuff out of the way, 2. moving AC stuff out of the way (oh wait, that's why I deleted AC and PS), and 3. you have to unbolt that one engine mount enough to slip the timing belt out.

Change the alternator belt out while you're in there. Maybe replace the cam seal and valve cover gasket as well.

There is no better writeup than the repair manual. Either download the Helms or buy the Haynes.

Thanks for the info.
Yeah there is no power steering or AC on this thing.

I already found a write up for doing this here on the forum.
I just needed a picture so I could see what I'm up against.
I've never done this stuff to a D series before.
Which timing mark on the main drive pulley is TDC?? When standing in front of the car looking down on the pulley there are 2 notches close together, one of which is white. Then about an inch lower ont he pulley there is a set of 3 notches one of which is red.
there are 2 sets of marks,
Looks easy enough.

Thanks again.
