Default 95 CX Question

Hi guys,
I have a 1995 CX. I am very close to buying a head off a 99 DX to do a Mini-Me swap this summer. What I need to know is what exactly is the model of this head? D16y7 or y8? Also is my car a 8v or 16v? I have heard only the 92 and 93 are 8v but im not sure.
thanks for the help.
-Jay

DX is not a vtec head, you need EX 95-00 head (not recomended) or EX/SI head of 92-95 (recomeded).

you're going to want the D16Z6 head (92-95 EX/Si), or the D16Y8 head (96-00 EX)

well why dont just do an d16z6 or y8 swap???? its more money but messing with the stupid cx motor???? ( ihave a cx too!) so i would say save the money and do complete engine swap. thats my opinion

dont put a 16v head on a cx motor. i think they only have valve reliefs for 8 valves on the pistons. just do a swap you will be more happier with it.
