Alright I searched and found the weight of the car but here is my question....

Last night I pulled up to a light with 4 people in my car including me, when an rx-7 (around an 88, 87) pulled up to the light next to me and started getting on his engine. It was only him and a passenger...but we took off at the light...and I was ahead up till about 60 miles an hour when he passed me...i'm runnin a b16a2 with all bolt on mods and what i'm wonderin is if the weight of 3 other 150+ passangers slowed me down enough to give him the edge or if it had nothing to really do with it...

fc's are pretty quick. i think he still would have taken you top end.

my old model FC(86-88) weighed around 28xx lbs. and had 146hp. low end those cars arent great but once they start breathing into the higher RPMs they open up.

the newer model FC(89-91) weighed a little bit more and had a 160hp engine.

if he had a modified exhaust then i think that it wouldnt have mattered with your extra weight but if it was stock...id say youd be able to stay with if not pull on him.

He did have exhaust I could hear it...but the fc's i've seen at the track run low 15's as apposed to the b16 hatches running mid 14's?
