Default 95 CX Hatch D15B8 Loping Idle

My hatch has been having issues with loping idle. The idle fluctuates 300-400 rpms (best guess as I have no tach).

Im really at a loss on what to check. Ive read that sometimes air in the coolant can cause the IACV to stick. I bled the system and even replaced the IACV with no change. Ive also seen that the FITV may need adjusting, however, I checked where its supposed to be and do not see it under the TB. I only see the TB. I will try to post up some photos later.

Is there anything else it could be assuming its not the FITV? Do these motors come without a FITV?

Thanks.

There is no FITV, there is just a passthrough at the bottom of the TB. Its all one piece on the TB, not added.

Also to note that it only fluctuates after the car is warm. However, if the car is warm and you shut it off/turn it back on, it will not fluctuate until you tap the throttle..

It will not fluctuate when cold, it gets progressively worse as the car warms.

Hope this helps diagnose.

CEL codes?

Install a good FITV, clean the IACV, and then adjust the idle speed (see FAQs sticky).

No CEL Codes, I will have to find a place to install the FITV because as mentioned, the TB doesnt have anywhere to install one. The IACV is brand new. I will have to look into adjusting idle speed.

Thanks

Scout a junkyard for Civics with a throttle body and FITV that match your engine. Then buy a TB gasket and install yourself -- pretty straightforward.

I am having a hard time finding just the throttle body for this car.. Are there any other intake manifolds that fit this head that may give me more TB options?

Will the D15B7 IM/TB fit the D15B8? Are there any issues with running this setup?
