Default 95 CX hatch

Hey all,
I am planning on doing a GSR motor swap into an EG. There is an 95 cx hatchback for sale. I know this is the lowest model of the EG's but will it really matter if I am swapping out the engine. Will not having power steering really be that big of a problem, if so can I take powersteering form another EG and put it in the CX?

Thanks for your help
PB

doesnt matter what trim it is if youre gonna swap it. CX is good cause its light. the lack of power steering isnt that big of a deal cause the car is light. turning the wheel when youre stopped may be tricky but youll get used to it

OK man thats what I though. The car has 175k miles on it and is going for 2G's/ but im sure I can get it down to 1.5. Do you think this is a good deal or should I keep looking?

Thanks

i think its a pretty good deal. The mileage wont matter, and youll be doing a complete swap so pretty much everything mechanically will be replaced... I say go with it, and good luck with the swap. Im planning on doing a swap on my 92 cx but i gotta wait to save up the money.. whichll be around christmas.

PS. Not having power steering isnt a problem at all, I know from first hand experience, turning while driving is really easy, and turning while stopped isnt that bad either, youll get used to it pretty quick. I actually prefer non power steering after driving the civic for a little lesss than a year..

hows the body? if the body is in good condition then 2k isnt all that bad. when doing a swap right away its hard to get a good deal cause you always wanna pay less since youre not gonna be keeping the motor. i found a beater with no motor and with no paint and needed a lot of work. it was 600 bucks but i think i would have paid 2k to get something in good condition.

If it's rust free, then 2k isn't ridiculous. Pricey, but not silly.

As for the lack of ps, as long as the car is rolling, it's not so bad. Turning the wheel at a standstill will suck.
