95 coupe w/96 gsr motor everyone read!!!!
Hi everyone! Im new to honda tech and I am currently going to drop a 96 gsr in my 95 coupe! I just wanted to know what I can do to my car to make it beat modded gt's... I don't want to go boost and I don't want to spray nitrous. Sooo if any1 can give me advice on building a decent car at a decent price. I would also like to no how my car will pull with the 96 gsr motor and tranny stock. I came here because all u veterans no what ur doing and u won't let me down thnx!!!!

a gs-r swapped coupe should be able to beat mildly modded gt's N/A.
gut it and it should cut a lil more time off your ET.

you gotta get some pretty serious work to be able to beat a modded gt...they can be 12 second cars without much effort; especially the new ones. you'd probably need AT LEAST a decent set of bolt-ons and some head work. probably more though.

Check out the All Motor forum for more information. Read all you can, then ask, they can be brutal in there.
Also, I wouldn't completely rule out the idea of boosting the engine. If the GSR engine you're swapping in is healthy (good compression and leakdown numbers), its going to be a lot easier and cheaper to beat a Mustang with a decent turbo setup on a stock block.
