95 Civic Trouble Starting
Car has been intermittenly having to start by blipping throttle. Fuel pump primes, battery is good, have spark and fuel system is basically 100% new pump to injectors. Ecu is good. Problem to me seems to be having air at startup and by blipping the throttle i get enough air to start. Doesnt happen all the time but today took several tries to start. Which valve controls air at startup?

Re: 95 Civic Trouble Starting
It has been colder and that may be a part of it but the other day it was just rainy mot necessarily “cold” and it took 4-5 times cranking and blipping throttle to eventually get it to go. First two times it happened it only took 1-2 tries. IACV was cleaned up not too long ago so could it be electronically not opening?

Not sure what blipping throttle means???
Does this mean you have to step on the gas pedal to get the engine to start??
Pressing on the gas pedal will open the throttle to let more air in
And more gas will flow into the intake.
Are you trying to open the throttle or close the throttle??
Have you tried just spraying starter fluid into throttle??
I would assume that the adjustment screws on the throttle body has loosened??
