95 civic no start
I own a 95 civic with 176k miles on it. Recently the car would not start in the mornings, but by the afternoon it would start right up. Changed the coil on it, but still the same results. Now the car starts up every 2 days or so. Checked for spark
and found spark in the 3rd cylinder only??????? but the next night it started up. Most of the time it cranks good but just doesn't turn over. One day fuel gauge read full when I knew there was just half a tank. I waited for bout 45 min, started
the car and it was reading normal. I also pulled the plugs and smelled fuel on them, but they weren't wet.

Re: 95 civic no start (95civic420)
the part about starting it when the weather changes, leads me to think your main relay is going out on you. To test this, next time you turn your key on, listen to make sure your fuel pump runs. (its beneath your rear seat). If its not running, whack the left side of your dash where your fuse box cover is. Not the cover, but the dash (like when you open your door and look at the side), if your pump comes on after you do that, replace your main relay.
Also, take off your dist cap and look at the ignition control modual (the other thing thats in there) is it a reddish brown color? if so, replace it.
lastly, your fuel pump. If not, go bang the underside of your gas tank and see if it starts up.
theres more... but do those things and report back with feedback on what happened.

Re: (dizzyroc88)
I load tested battery and it checked out ok. Wierd thing is that it did not start up this morning, but when i got home today at 7pm, the damn thing fired up like nothing was wrong with it. All my warning lights come on normally. I live in an area where there is constant fog and moisture, could that play a factor???
