Ive read read for past few days of what the problem could be.but I haven't found a solution. Ive replaced the starter today. Its a 5 speed. D16z6. Last saturday the battery and alternator were checked oreillys everything checked out. Any help is appreciated. The battery cables are kinda loose would that really make the car not start?

Re: 95 civic no crank no start
At the top of the clutch pedal shaft is a plastic button that presses on the clutch interlock safety switch when you step on the clutch. It's common for that plastic button to break and fall out. Have you noticed any odd pieces of broken plastic on the driver's floor mat? If that button is not pressed the car will not start ( no reaction, no crank nothing). You can get a replacement button at the dealership or some people hot glue a penny in it's place.
