95 Civic LX Pin out info and harness compatibility Question???
OK,,, I'm new @ Honda stuff so be patient please,,, Here it is,,,, Ive searched the Stickys but I dont find much on D series motor swaps,, Especially the 1.5 liter moto's
I have a 200K mi. 95 Civic LX the Non vtec motor D15B7 has blown the head gasket Twice.... So Im scared that the motor has internal Block cooling system Issues because a new water pump, Radiator, Hoses,,head gasket etc. etc. have been replaced
I picked up a JDM D15B {vtec} with ECU,,,
Can I use the cars existing ECU harness and add a couple of wires to the existing harness to utilize the New Vtevc ECU????? and will it run ok with the old D15B7 manifolds or would I be better off using the JDM motor Manifolds,, one of the sensors are broken off on the Intake and the distributor cap is busted
I really would appreciate some help in finding the Pin Outs for the vtech ECU

Depends on the year of the new engine. If it's a '92-'95 D15B, then most things swap over. If it's a '96-'00 D15B, then you'll need to get a different ECU, modify some of the engine side plugs, and use some of the stock parts as well. With the '92-'95 one, you'll still need to buy a new distributor, because your stock D15B7 one won't physically bolt on (different bolt pattern). You'd buy a distributor for a '92-'95 D16Z6 or D15Z1; they are the same, and are the same as the one for the '92-'95 D15B VTEC. The D15B intake manifold will flow better than the stock D15B7 one, but either one will work. The stock JDM P08 ECU also looks for a 1-wire O2 sensor, instead of a 4-wire O2 sensor, so you'll need to get a 1-wire O2 sensor. Other than that, you can use your stock harness, and just add the wires. Here's an ECU pinout (not mine, just linking to it): http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/wiring.92-95.jpg

It is beyond me why they could not have unplugged the ECU harness and wrapped it around the Moto????????
I appreciate your response

and the new motors O2 sensor only has one wire,,,,, Do I need to get a one wire 02 sensor and field splice to the Primary O2 sensor orange black wire??? removing the other wires and splicing to the single wire connector??? will it hurt anything to use the 4 wire temporarily until I can get the single wire sensor
and the motor is post 95 year model
