95 civic LX 5sp 3000-4000rpm studder
Hi All,
I have a 95 civic LX 5speed whic is having a problem studdering and loosing a little power only under load and when hot.
The studdering only seems to happen between 3000 and 4000 RPM.
If I push it through, it seems to clear up and gain power again.
Changing throttle position doesn't seem to change it.
It only seems to do it on the freeway accelerating up a hill.
No check engine light yet and it lights when ignition is first turned on so I know the light works.
It's gradually getting worse.
Changed entire distributor and fuel filter so far.
Any ideas as to where I might look next?
MAP? O2? Temp Sensor?
Thanks in advance,
Richard

my car is doing the same thing. . . stuttering when hot .. . i'd go with this guys advice . . clogged cat . . .why I think . .. because I just swapped out an oil burning monster and used the same cat/exhaust . . . . brand new fuel injectors in my project . .. and got lotsa fuel pressure . . .

Not sure about the cat as it's been running like new and the exhaust pipe is perfectly clean inside.
Don't think it's fuel pressure or injectors as it's fine from 4000 to 6000RPM.
I'll check my grounds next.
