Default 95 Civic losing coolant

Hey HT so I just recently purchased a new 95 civic with d16z6. The car runs great except for it is loosing coolant somewhere. There is no water in oil and no white smoke so I doubt it is the head gasket. The car does not over heat at all, and there are no visible leaks except for a small amount around the top of the overflow bottle. The overflow fills up then it spits a little out around the top opening. I replaced the hose and put hose clamps thinking it was a bad hose. Still having the same issues. It almost seems as if there is too much pressure in the cooling system causing it to open the radiator cap and fill the resivor. And ideas

Try a new radiator cap. The lack of pressure can cause them to bubble out. The idea behind the cap is to hold pressure which raises the boiling point.

If that fails you probably have a bad head gasket and or stuck thermostat

op do this. if everything is fine i would STRONGLY suggest flushing out your cooling system. And get a new thermostat as well. Simple job. even a dumb *** like me could do it, and i've done it to other vehicles (not always hondas) since. If you use water to flush it out (reccommended), make sure to use ONLY distilled. Not purified, not tap water, not garden hose water. DISTILLED.
