Default 95' civic hatch: Lower Control Arm/Strut Bolt Prob. Plz help.

Ok, so bought some ebay coilover sleeves (i know... Lol)

Took off the strut & spring, put on the sleeve, inserted the strut but the wrong way by accident. Put in the lca bolt and started tightening it, after a while it was getting really hard to tighten, then i realized the strut was facing the wrong way, tried to unscrew it, and the bolt is just spinning -__-

... But not coming out, at all. Plz help,

Has the threading on the bolt completely passed through the welded nut? Do you have any play from the head of the bolt to the welded nut, can you move it?

Have you tried applying some some pressure pulling it while loosening tryinf not to strip it out if not already?

When it passes through the welded nut it becomes really really difficult to tighten and the holes aren't properly alligned (i thought it was at the start ) so it wouldn't go thru any ways...

That's sucks!

I'm sure the threads are stripped now. Why not just TAP* the bolt from the other side** with a screwdriver and hammer (or something similar) as you unscrew the bolt back through the nut.

*TAP! Not pound.

**may require two people to do this.

You're just gonna have to muscle it out, rethread the strut and learn to take your time, make sure you have a clear idea of how everything was mounted up.

Is it just me or isnt that bolt in backwards? Isnt the welded nut supposed to hold the other side of that bolt?

White, if you had spent 2 minutes to bother reading the OP, you would tell that we've already established that the bolt is in backwards. Again, welcome to the conversation. Do try to keep up.

So, OP, you're saying it spins freely, but doesn't actually come out while it's spinning? If so, like eHM said, lightly tap it with something that'll fit through the hole from the other side, while continuing to turn it out slowly. A dead blow hammer and a punch, or a phillips head screwdriver will be your friend here.

Lol, #3 Phillips will do ya. trying a #2 or lower can damage the tip of the driver, you know, if you actually care about your tools OP. In any case, a tool you should have anyway would be a tapered drift pin, made for lining up holes and acting as a light punch.

Or cut the bolt at the head and continue to tap it completely through.
