Default 95 Civic hatch - H out B in

i did research on this topic. not a great amount but some. any help would be greatly appreciated. i have a 95 civic hatchback with a h22a in it. personally i love the motor love the power range the sound the torque gas mileage is even great but i do not like the fact that the car is pulled from its roots and what i mean by that is honda put b series in civics. not h series. i feel it would be more genuine to have a b series back in.... i have the pass. mount welded in and the bellhousing hole cut out. i know i have to cut the mount off and put the old one back on but do i really have to fab the shifter hole in the housing or can i just leave it be? thank you for your time.
