95 Civic EX wire security alarm to one horn button
My 1995 Honda Civic EX has the 2 horn buttons, one on each side of the steering wheel. I also have a panic alarm (I'm pretty sure it's aftermarket, but I could be wrong.) under the hood, and I never need it because I never lock my doors. I want to wire it to the right horn button so that I can sound it whenever I want, and keep the left button as the regular horn. Any electricians here who could guide me on how to get this done? Also, anyone with an EX who could verify whether the security system is indeed aftermarket? Thanks everyone.

Re: 95 Civic EX wire security alarm to one horn button
The two buttons are essentially wired together in a "Y" pattern in the airbag on the steering wheel, and merge into ONE contact wire through the cable reel/clock spring assembly. This means that there is only ONE wire in the steering column that goes to the original horn, and no additional (extra) wires that pass through the cable reel for you to separate the horn buttons for two functions. You have shown no photo of your alarm system box or even the key fob to be able to confirm that it is OE or aftermarket... so how can anyone help you ascertain the origin of the alarm system ???

You dont even know if you have an aftermarket alarm system installed, yet you want us to tell you whether or not you do?
how the hell can we do that when you provide zero info. Info like, "hey gang look at this photo, it doesnt look like factory. Or my key fob have this werid symbol on it. Look kinda like a snake. There is a blinking light on the dash".. etc..etc..
get my drift?
No you can not wire one of your horn button to turn into a panic button. That required custom work.

Getting hostile doesn't help the situation any.
OP may have figured it out on their own but we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, lets not get nasty about the error.

OP, you can wire up the "alarm siren" to a momentary button (of your choice, stock or aftermarket) and leave the stock horn buttons alone. Unless you have cruise control that is obsolete, you cannot split the horn wires since it's just one going to them....from the steering column to the clock spring mechanism.
