95 Civic EX Car dies while driving....
I have a 95 Honda Civic EX stock. I bought the car as a daily driver and the car was running for around 4000 miles when it just died on the highway. The car would not restart. After the car was towed back to the house I test the main relay off the car and it tested ok. Then tested the coil and it was low. Also tested the icm and it was ok. Took the coil out and noticed a small crack on it. So I replaced it with an AutoZone one(placed di-electric grease on the back side). The car started and worked fine for 500 miles then it stalled again on me while driving. Replaced the coil with a new one under warrenty from AutoZone and the car started up. Car then died around 150 miles later. Re-placed it with an Advanced Auto coil(new) and the car would not start. Then decided to replace the icm with a new one and the car started and ran for another 150 miles and then died again. This time I was merging on to the highway, was high in the rpm range in 1st,2nd,3rd and then came to a stop light. About 5 minutes after that started to stumble and then die. After about an hour the car did start back up. What could be the problem? I have read that non OEM ignition parts could be to blame. Is this true? Is my coil getting to hot under load? So should I go external coil or install new oem parts? Any help would be great or experience of your problem and fix.

I learned the hard way that OEM coils and igniters (= icms) pay for themselves. Buy them from an OEM dealer online, like bkhondaparts.com or see if your local dealer will give you online prices.
