95 Civic EX automatic D16Z6 swap for manual B16B
I have a 95 Civic EX that is automatic and I am interested in swapping the engine for a B16B with manual transmission. I am not sure what parts I will need for this swap, or if the swap will require major modification of the car. The engine includes a LSD transmission, clutch, engine wiring, ECU, axles, shifter, ac compressor, alternator, power steering, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, injectors, and the starter. Based on the research I have done, all I will need is the clutch pedal assembly, clutch cable, clutch master/slave cylinder, and center console for shifter.
Here are my questions:
1. Is that all the parts I will need?
2. Will I need new hubs for this engine or will the stock hubs be ok?
3. Do I need to upgrade my fuel pump?
4. Because I am putting a new ECU in the car, would I have any problems going from an automatic to manual transmission?
5. Will this engine require different mounts to fit in the engine bay?
6. With limited automotive experience, is this something I should have professionally installed?
I would appreciate any advice/help on this project!!!

Re: 95 Civic EX automatic D16Z6 swap for manual B16B
If the manual transmission ecu comes with the engine, you will not have any problems going from auto to manual. If I were you I would read more forums then decide if you should have it professionally installed. Yes you will need the 99-00 Civic SI engine mount along with others, do a little more research and you should figure it out within 5-10 mins because I'm not entirely sure either but I know you need the SI mount or mount bracket, or both. Stock fuel pump should be fine. What are hubs?

Ok, I appreciate it. Hubs are the what hold the tire on I guess. I have read that people, when they do similar swaps, change the hub from a 4 bolt to 5 bolt pattern. From what I understand, it handles the increased power better then the stock hubs. Did I cover all the parts I needed for the manual transmission?
