No start or no crank? What CELs are you throwing? When was your last full tune up? Timing in order? Are you blowing smoke? Getting spark? What color spark? Compression test?

Re: 95 civic dx wont turn over
so when you connected your ecu back up did it crank at least?
if not check your wiring on the starter, make sure the power cable is secure and make sure the ground cable is tight and not loose.
other than that only thing else I can think of is your ignition switch.
if you have a friend to help and you have a multimeter, have someone try to start the car while you check power going to the starter. No power there your ignition switch is bad...assuming the battery is connected properly.

Re: 95 civic dx wont turn over
Forget about what it's done in the past.
As it sits right now, when you turn the key, does the starter make any attempt at all to turn the motor? If it does, but doesn't have enough juice, replace your battery. If it doesn't, use a multimeter to see if your starter is getting power from the power cable, and also test to see if your starter is getting power on the signal wire while a friend turns the key.

Re: 95 civic dx wont turn over
So, here's my situation: 1990 Civic 1500 cc engine. We loaned the car to some friends to use, and a few days later, stopped turning over. He assumed it was battery (it was five years old), got battery replaced to no avail. He is able to start it by pushing it.
We have 12 volts on the positive cable at the solenoid. We have about 11 volts on the terminal end of the black/ white wire when ignition switch is turned to start position. Voltage drops to zero if you release the clutch (making me think the clutch switch is operable).
The thing puzzling me is when I attach the black/ white wire and test it plugged on the solenoid, it drops down to about 8 volts.
We removed the starter and had it tested at O'Reilly's and it tested fine. We do have a car about an hour away that we can scavenge a starter from to try that.
Any other help out there?
