Default 95 civic dx d15b7 upgrades

Hello all, I recently bought a 95 civic dx from a friend that I have started working on. So far I have put a short ram air intake, full exhaust, coilovers, and some stereo work. I have read a lot about how the d15b7 engine is not really for modding out and I'm ok with that. I am currently in Europe and got a hold of a d16z5 engine out of a 89 crx. I was curious if one, is it possible to swap, and two if this engine would be a better starting point for a decent build looking for an end result of around 250 horsepower?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Since the D16Z5 is OBD0, no, it would be a horrible idea to swap it in. You would play hell installing it, getting it wired, and getting it tuned to correctly run. Keep your current motor, or swap in a D16Z6. Boost it. If you don't want boost, swap in a B18C1/5 with some head work and decent cams, and still make 250 for more $ than the turbo would have cost you.

No. It's a D-series.
