Hey guys. I found out that my clutch paddle starter switch pushing pad broke off into pieces. I have the switch jumped with a paper clip as temporary solution but I can't find a way to install the new pushing pad. It is too deep inside the car and I can't reach with my hands. If anyone has any ideas on how to install it without taking the clutch paddle out, please help.

Here's the picture of what it is. The the one the top red arrow is pointing.

If you're working under the dash the proper position to be in is on your back with the seat pushed all the back or removed.

That is what I'm doing. I have my chair removed and working under the dash on my back. But I can't reach in because of paddle housing. It's closed on top and the sides. There's only about a space for one finger to fit in where the switch and pusher is. Same goes for the back of the housing. I tried taking out the switch but there's only a hole that can only fit one finger also. Problem is, I can't put anything on the end of the paddle because I can't reach in except only with just one finger.

I experianced this last summer. It was a PITA. What I did was get a heavy peice of wire and tape the stopper to the end of it. Then I pushed the pedal down and slid up there and slowly let up on the pedal letting the pressure of the switch push it into place. ANother person recommended taping it to a long screw driver.

So, I got a double sided tape the thick ones that uses for wallpapers and posters. Stick one side on tip of my finger and reached into the switch. I stick it there and pressed the clutch. When my finger can feel the clutch, I slowly move the finger out of the way and press the clutch all the way. That made the tape stuck on the paddle and now it's working. I'm gonna have to buy new stopper pad from dealer because I don't know how long this will last.
