Hi,
I've been trying to figure this out for a couple months now with no luck. Basically my buddy let this del sol sit for a long time and now it won't start. I drained and refilled the gas tank before I tried to start it. I installed a fuel pressure regulator with gauge a long time ago and the pressure comes up to around 32 pounds when I power it up. It cranks over just fine. I checked the spark and low and behold there isn't one. Replaced the distrubutor. nothing. replaced the coil. nothing. replaced the ICM(ignitor). nothing.
This car has an MSD digital SCI ignition with an external MSD blaster CAP instead of the stock coil and when I perform the trigger test by tapping the trigger wire to ground, I get spark. so it's not that. I traced out all the wires and have a few questions. I'm pretty certain it is a trigger problem, but I cant figure it out.
1. the yellow/green wire the goes to the ECU - what signal is it supposed to be seeing?
2 The blue wire that supposedly goes to the Tachometer? - (supposed to have continuity with ground according to the HAYNES manual test of the ICM- but It doesn't) where is this wire supposed to go? I found a connector on the driver side of the engine compartment that has continuity with it, but it isn't connected with anything.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Maybe I'm way off base? It's getting pretty frustrating.

I was thinking it over and talking with my friend and we have come to the idea that maybe the TDC or CKP sensor is not operating so I order a whole new distributor assembly since you cant order just those parts individually. Any thoughts?
