'95 Civic Del Sol - When should heater hoses be changed?
My car is a '95 Honda Civic Del Sol with 119K miles. I am working on the cooling system, want it all done, never have to worry about it again. I changed the thermostat & gasket, radiator cap, and upper and lower radiator hoses. The top hose blew out on my way home from work one day so I changed them both.
That is pretty much everything except for the heater hoses. When should they be changed so that I do not get a "surprise" one day on a long journey with a leaking heater core hose. Is it time to do them now? How hard are they to change? Are they stock parts or do I have to buy the hose "by the foot"? Please help with answers, pictures, locations (especially), diagrams, links and URLs, and any "How To" articles, posts, or web pages.
Thank you very much.
Paul
