It's good for looks, but it is also only really used for tuning purposes. Specifically to adjust cam timing when you have aftermarket cams/cam and looking for maximum output. Other than that, not really.

If you can get the first issue of Project Car magazine or look at their website they did a write up on installing the aem camgear on a z6. Pretty much all you're gonna do is remove the valve cover, remove the upper timimng belt cover, loosen the timing belt tensioner, unscrew the bolt for the gear, place the new gear on, tighten the bolt, and adjust the timing belt. You'll want to make sure the gear is set at zero degrees and place all the covers back on.

Bro honestly....
All this can be found by searching...this is Honda-Tech, the largest forum for Honda enthusiasts. This top has been easily covered a bajillion times...yes you have to set the motor to TDC, and you can re-adjust your CAM TIMING by advancing or retarding a degree, or a degree and a half....remember, ignition and cam timing are two different things.

x2...and if you plan on cutting your valve cover. Even people with built motors only put these on when it comes time to tune. Waste of money if you are throwing this on a stock car IMO
