95 civic d16z vtec failed smog - help me please!!!

Default 95 civic d16z vtec failed smog - help me please!!!

Hey peepz so my civic failed the smog check. Its running to rich the guy said.. it failed at g pol. I got a brand new cat converter. And a carb legal headers. And a stock air box and new spark plugs. What would be the problem..?

The high %O2 readings are prompting you to look for an exhaust leak.

high hydro carbons means unburnt fuel... that would mean your catalytic converter isn't not working efficiently.. probably needs replaced. also be sure to run the fuel the car is designed for 87. if running 93 in a low compression car that requires 87 will leave a lot of unburnt fuel as it takes longer to burn off... the motor just doesn't create enough heat to burn it all off.
