Default 95 civic b18 transmission

im swapping my b18b1 engine and a 1990 b18 cable transmission in my 95 civic. will the tranny mount and everything be the same or will i need to purchase anything aftermarket for the motor and tranny to fit? thanks all

well considering that the tranny uses a cable actuated clutch and your car is set up for hydraulic... it wil not be a direct swap!!!
and i beleive the mount is also different

i believe hasport sells mounts for b series cable trans in eg

what exactly can i do to get the cable tranny in if i dont have 500$ to buy the inserts? any way i could use a factory setup?

as far as i know there is no factory setup you can use for this tranny.... but i have personaly never tried to put a cable trany in a hydro car so maybe there is some more experienced members on here wit more usefull info... srry i cant be of more help

There are NO OEM parts that can be used to make the cable transmission work in your hydraulic car. It will bolt up to the motor fine, but the top tranny mount location is different, and then there is the whole ordeal with the conversion pieces that make the cable fork work with your hydraulic slave cylinder. You WILL need an aftermarket setup to run that tranny, there are no OEM parts that can work, unless maybe you fiddled around with moving your mount bracket on the frame of your car, by cutting it out and relocating/rewelding it, but I wouldnt suggest that you let that thought even run through your mind lol! Id highly suggest staying away from using a cable tranny on your hydraulic car anyways, unless the tranny you are gunna put on it is a nice cable one (I think the YS1 is the sought after one??) I used to run this setup on my 93 civic coupe that I had a B18B1 in with a cable tranny. I used a kit from Enjo. Its very easy to do, and very straight forward. I personally would never do it again though.

for starters your trans is cable yours is hydro i know this is a repeat,the i ntegra trans has a mount on front unlike your stabilizer mount,it has a 9 bolt flywheels b18b series trans have 6 your speedometer is the wordst of it old cable trannies have a cable speedometer where as yours is eletric... all i have to say is get a 94 and up hyrdo trans and you will be better off i have tried this before so dont waste your time..

^^^^^^^^ The flywheel bolts have NOTHING to do with the transmission workng or not. Also, your right that a Cable VSS from a cable tranny wont work with his car... BUT, the Electric VSS out of a Hydraulic B-Series Tranny will slip right into the VSS port on the cable tranny, so he can still use it if he wants to and will be able to have a fully functioning speedometer. Also, the front tranny mount doesnt need to be used, so thats another thing he doesnt need to worry about.

For someone who has "tried this before," you obviously didnt know what the heck you were doing. This swap is VERY easy and straightforward. I still wouldnt reccommend it, but if the OP is still thinking about it and has any questions, give me a shout. I ran this setup in my old car for 2 years.

Haha. Dude. There is no such thing as a 9 bolt B-series flywheel.

To the OP...

My brother and I just swapped a B16 with the JDM cable LSD tranny into his 94 EG. He bought the Hasport kit online. Tranny bolted into the car fine. He's still having a lot of trouble dialing in the adjustment though. Personally, I don't like the setup. I would rather buy a Type R gearbox and slap that in instead. My .02

to the OP also.

Paton is correct, you CAN get it to work with the hasport kit, but the hasport kit is as much as a hydro B18B1 transmission.

Also be aware that the Hydro trans uses a different clutch/PP/Flywheel from the cable one.

you will WANT to use the hyrdo trans, it is stronger, more reliable, and requires no fabrication, you can even use your D-series transmission mount as it is the same.
