Default 94 Si What NA motor?

I have a 94 Si, looking for a strong NA motor w/o spending too much. Possibly around 4-5 grand. I am leaning hard towards Ls/vtec or Gsr. I want to run 13's full interior w/ basic bolt ons and vafc. Any suggestions?

Ive got a 93 si full interior with a b18c r motor and my best time to date is a 14.07 (configured to sea level)

I think I am gonna go with a hondata, cam gears, tuning and slicks to drop that down a bit.

And I probably suck at drag racing

i would drop a h22 on slicks and forget that any numbers above 13 even exist.

all these guys are steering u in the wrong direction. think about it where is the power in the ITR. at like 8 grand. where do u need the power at in drags. on the low end. the h22 starts with more torque than the ITR so u wont have to worry as much about building the torque later. plus it will land more weight on the front which will improve traction.

I know h22's are alot quicker but dont they also come w/ a big price as well? About how much is everyone spending on their b18c swaps? h22's?

As you probably know, the SI is the heaviest model of all the hatches. If you're really concerned with time slips and power you might wanna get a CX hatch, or yoiu might like the SI package with all the goodies.. I'd go with a B18C1 or B18C5 if you have the money. Good luck..

I've seen alot better results at the drag strip with H22 swaps then any other B swaps. I'm sure there are variables, but for the 4-5k you'll be rocking 200+ crank horse power easily.

For 4-5K, I would get a built GSR.

What ever your choice, it'll be fast but heres a website just for comparing bling bling.

http://www.streetimports.com/homepage.htm

H22 ~ $2599 (200 HP)
JDM B18C5 ~ $5999 (197 HP)
JDM B18C (GS-R) ~ $3499 (180 HP)

Your choice but there all great motors!!!

I have seen the costs of h22's vary from 2500-3000 thats not bad for the power output of the motor...would it be cheaper and faster to build an lsvtec or should I try and go with the h22, because I hear b series is alot better motor to build...

i heard that the h22 is overall a bad motor --
another words the 200hp doesnt really seem
to be that high, ie. GS-r beats a car with h22 swap.
Is this true?
