P28 will work fine running ABS. If the ABS light is on my guess would be a rock flew up and broke one the abs sensors, or someone replaced an axle with a non abs version. That said it could be several other things. Removing ABS is really not recommended simply for the amount of work it entails. To do it right you need to replaced the Master cylinder, brake booster and proportioning valve from a non abs integra (RS i believe) and replace the brake lines with ones for a '92 - '95 civic DX or LX without abs sedan.

You should be able to reset any code, but it will come back on.
I'm betting on a non/ABS axle being installed.
ABS is nice dude, keep it. Adds value too.

Stopping with my ABS civic versus my non-ABS 4 door is like night and day.
**** works good in these light cars!!

turn ignition off, jump 2 pin connector under dash, turn key to on (II). watch the codes flash. The same connector does both ABS and the regular check engine light. To reset ABS codes. turn ignition off. pull ABS fuse B2 for at least 3 seconds, reinsert fuse.

Yeah, but most of it isn't due to the ABS. It has a lot more to do with the fact that ABS civics got the same front brakes as integras, as well as rear discs, which again are the same as the integras.

True that... I do have rear disc on the ABS civic.

One bonus though is that when I SLAM the brakes, instead of SCCCREEEECHHH and leaving rubber with the regular civic, i just hear this little chirp chirp chirp from the tires, as I lose/gain traction with my stop. And also stop in a lot shorter distance of course.
And all i have to do is SLAM the brakes, no feathering needed.
I feel as though I could "out-stop" about anything in this light car. Did A few test runs on an open road.
Of course my seatbelt shoulder hates me afterward.

ABS in these cars sucks, if it goes bad it is usually expensive to repair (with parts that is)

my ABS pump makes alll hell at startup, but then stops and ABS light comes on. if that dont happen, as soon as i am over 25mph the rear sensor(which is bad) makes the light come on.

and compared to a non-abs car my pedal travel is more and softer.

Have you taken a look under the car at least to see if it has ABS Axles (they have toothed ABS exciter ring on the outer joint, right where it meets up with the front knuckle.
