Re: Honda 1994 hatchback
Fuse 15, 10 amp fuse - Clock, Gauge Assembly, Hazard Switch, Back-Up Lights, Interlock System, Integrated Control Unit.
Hope that helps you isolate your problem.

When you checked them, did you use a multimeter or just pull the bulbs out and eyeball for corosion?

Tests with a multimeter no power
Also every time I do put it on reverse the alternator kicks in like it draws a lot of amps through it

Someone must've tapped into the circuit for other reasons and probably goofed on it. You're gonna have to go through that circuit to locate the wiring.

Alternatively, there could be a damaged wire that is grounding out. That would also explain why your alternator is freaking out - a damaged, grounded wire reverse light wire making solid contact with the frame would be just dumping power into it.

have you checked at the reverse light switch itself? is this a manual or auto?

didn't see the manual part, disconnect the wires at the switch, one wire should go all the way to the lights, disconnect it and see if it's grounding out, Honda is different in that they switch voltage to the reverse lights instead of a ground switch, the fact that it only does it in reverse is indicating that the short is past the reverse switch
