94' EX TPS question
It seems my TPS sensor has shat the bed (self revs to 2k or so every 2 secs )...Ive come to this conclusion because when you disconnect it, it just revs to 4k straight, whereas if you plug it back in it keeps revving.
Is there anyplace online I can order a new TPS? Or do I have to order a new throttle body? Any help?
Thanks

Re: 94' EX TPS question (Mark's Integra)
The TPS is not sold separately. The only way that you could get one would be to get it on ebay and then you have to recalibrate it. I'd recommend just buying a complete TB for you EX on ebay or from a salvage yard. Make sure that the sensors are intact.
There are 3 or 4 on ebay right now for your car. A TB for a 92-95 EX/SI should bolt right on. Just make sure that it has the IACV mounted the same way that your current one is mounted.
If you are capable of recalibrating the tps, then just buy any 92-00 honda throttle body on ebay. I got a d16y7 tb w/sensors + fuel injectors for $11 on ebay. I took the map sensor and tps and put them on my gsr tb.

You can't get just the sensor by itself unless you go to a motorbike dealer, but I bet its not your tps anyways it sounds like your iac valve. To check your tps check the voltage from the signal wire it should be .5 volts @ idle and around 4.5 @ full throttle.

Minor correction 5V at full throttle, but you are right. Not really enough info given to surely say that it is the tps.

the TPS for this car is riveted to the throttle (stupid). you have to remove the throttle body and drill it out, then if you can get a replacement sensor, figure out a way to thread the rivet holes and bolt it up (make sure to calibrate it.. 0.5v @ closed, 4.5v@WOT)

They aren't rivets there capped screws they're already threaded. Also it might not be a good idea to call people stupid on this board people will get all over you for that.
