94 ej1 probs, Clutch pedal won't come all the way back
Just bought a new car the other day and found that the clutch pedal wont come all the way back. It stops probably half way and wont touch the clutch switch. Fluid is good and full and was told the lines were just bled. Sometimes it is hard to get the car in gear and when quick shifting it will grind bad when switching gears. Is there supposed to be a spring there? I looked at my 97 dx hatch clutch pedal and it looks the same and there is no spring. Not sure what the problem is. I can post a video of it tomorrow morning if im not being clear enough. Any ideas people?

Adjust the push rod a little at a time until you find the spot that suits your driving style. Or adjust it to OEM specs. Can't remember the specs though. You need to search.

shouldnt have to adjust a hydraulic clutch pedal to fix a problem...
You do MINOR adjustments for fell and preference..you cannot adjust 2-4" of slack out of a hydraulic system, i am laughing here...
Either the CMC or CSC is going out... look under your floorboard/firewall. by your clutch pedal and check for fluid.

bleed it.
Pull the rubber boot on the slave cylinder and check for fluid inside the rubber boot. something is leaking and bad... clutch will not suddenly do something like what you are describing for no reason, it is hydraulic related and the only 2 parts are the CMC and CSC.
