94 EG hatch vs 96 EK hatch
Ok so I bought a 94 eg hatch (automatic) in 2012 as a gas saver. It had 146k miles on it. I know that the head gasket was replaced right before I got it. It also had an aftermarket muffler, not a ricey one, but kinda like a v8 muffler or someting. Sounded kinda deep. It had pep and felt quite fast and fun to drive. I also know the timing was advanced, because I had to get back to norm to pass smog. Even after getting the timing to normal, it still felt fast and peppy. Long story short, someone ran into me on the passenger side fender screwing up the car. I ended up selling it.
A couple months later I ended up getting a 96 EK hatch (automatic) Canadian model. It had about 120 k miles on it. It drives smoother and has a more comfy ride, but it's not as peppy as my EG, even after new spark plugs, and a dizzy.
My question is how can I give it more pep like my EG? The person that I got my EG from told me there was nothing done to the eg to pep it up. It was all stock.
Any suggestions?
