94 EG Hatch/B18 Swap Axle keep popping out, help!
Hey yall,
I have a 94 Si Hatch with a 98 b18b1 swap and an LS non GSR tranny - the chassis has an intermediate shaft on the driver side and the inner axle joint keeps popping out of the intermediate shaft output side - not completely to a point where it wont drive the wheel but when you look under the car it its almost completely out of the intermediate shaft. I am using 3rd gen integra axles and wondering whether I should be using the stock civic axles instead to prevent popping out?? Does anyone know if the civic EG axles will fit my setup? If anyone has a similar issue or know how to fix this please let me know! Thanks!

You need to be using axles for the generation of Iintegra that you got the transmission from.
My questions to you:
1.) how did you seat the axle? Did you make sure you pushed/rubber mallet struck/whacked it until the retaining ring seated or did you just push it in until it "looked good" and called it a day?
2.) is the retaining ring intact? It's a little broken circle ring on the splined end of the axle about 0.5" from the end. It should be kind of loose to the touch.
3.) are any of the components damaged?
I mean, if the axle isn't broken, it fits. You're probably doing something wrong.
